If you would like to assure yourself (and household members to be seated together) a place (socially-distanced) in RLC’s sanctuary, you can register here and receive a confirmation of a reserved space.

To be admitted to the service, you will need to wear a face mask and pass our COVID-19 entry check:

Check to see if current temperature over at or above 100.4°.

Within the last 10-days, have you had

 (that you cannot attribute to another health condition):

  • a new cough
  • a new shortness of breath
  • a new sore throat
  • new muscle aches
  • a loss of taste or smell
  • positive test for COVID-19
  • a temperature above 100°, or
  • close contact with someone who is currently sick with COVID-19?

Polaris House

Polaris House is a clubhouse community dedicated to recovery from mental illness. Located in Juneau, Alaska, Polaris House has over four hundred members. Staff and members work side by side to operate the clubhouse as a business, helping members step into autonomy and recovery.

Members participate in programs such as supported housing and transitional employment. Clubhouse membership is free, and open to anyone with a diagnosis of mental illness. Polaris House adheres to the 37 Standards of Operation laid out by Clubhouse International, Inc.

Service Leader

Rev. Karen Perkins, Pastor Resurrection Lutheran Church

Pastor Karen has led the Polaris House Annual Memorial for the past two years.  She has been pastor at RLC for three years.  Prior to that, she had two churches on the Waianae Coast of O’ahu, Hawai’i.  Pastor Karen has a passion for social justice ministry, including working with people who are homeless, disabled, disadvantaged and otherwise in need.  She was a crisis counselor and street minister with the San Francisco Night Ministry for several years.
